Are you enrolled, or do you know anyone who is enrolled in a Maryland community college and transferring to a University System of Maryland school for the 2025-2026 school year?
If so, you have until May 2 to apply for a $10,000 scholarship given by the SECU MD Foundation.

What you’ll get
The SECU MD Foundation will award twelve exceptional college students with a total of $120,000 in scholarships. You can see how this award has changed the educational trajectories of our past winners.
Application deadline
Applications are open now. You must submit your application no later than May 2, 2025.
Application process
Applicants must complete an application online, including a 500- to 750-word essay on a pre-determined essay prompt.

Eligibility requirements
All applicants must meet these eligibility requirements.
- Be a SECU member in good standing.
- Be currently enrolled at any of Maryland’s 16 community colleges.
- Attend a University System of Maryland school for the 2025-26 academic year.
- Students that have transferred from a Maryland community college to a University System of Maryland school in the last 18 months are also eligible.
